Privacy Policy
This policy explains what ClearCost collects and how we use, share, and protect information when you request an exterior painting estimate or ask us to contact you.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, property address, project details, estimate selections, and communications with us. We may also collect device and browser information, site activity, referral information, and campaign identifiers such as UTM parameters or fbclid.
2. Property and Location Data
We use the address you provide and information available from third-party property-data and mapping services to prepare an exterior painting estimate. These services may include RentCast and Google Maps or Google address services. Third-party property records may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and improve estimates, save your project, respond to requests, contact you about your project, connect you with a painting professional when appropriate, operate and secure the site, troubleshoot issues, measure site performance, and understand marketing attribution.
4. Service Providers
We use service providers to operate ClearCost. These currently include Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for database and project-information storage, Resend for transactional email delivery, Google for address and mapping services, and RentCast for available property data. Analytics or advertising providers may process usage or campaign data if those tools are enabled. Providers process information for the services they perform for us and under their own applicable terms and privacy practices.
5. Sharing and Sale of Information
We may share the information needed to respond to your request with independent painting professionals when you ask to continue or when sharing is reasonably necessary to provide the requested service. We may also disclose information to service providers, to comply with law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction. ClearCost does not sell personal information for money.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to remember project progress, keep the site working, measure performance, prevent abuse, and understand referrals or advertising campaigns. Browser controls may let you limit cookies, although some features may not work correctly.
7. Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your Choices and California Privacy Rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we maintain about you, subject to legal exceptions. California residents may also have rights to know the categories and sources of personal information collected, the purposes for collection, and the categories of recipients. 9. Children
ClearCost is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
